Soup! (Notice, Julia, NOT SOOP. SOUP. S-O-U-P. SOUP! )
To our most amazing fans, (AKA followers), I'd like to apologize on behalf of the SCRATCHies Team for interrupting your vacation (Comment below where you are/are going to go this summer! We love reading your comments! ;))
Anyway, I interrupted your cruise to the Bahamas because of some BREAKING NEWS that we really really really really REALLY need to tell you people.
.....I'm waiting for a drumroll, dough!
OK, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you gave me the jazz hands/ silent clapping thing, because I personally think that all of you guys are polite, kind, caring individuals. Quite like UNLIKE myself, I must say. Anyway, here in SCRATCHies HQ, we've hired someone new, Katherine Lin! Now, a lot of our blog readers are sixth graders (and random Alaskan people, who I'm sure are quite nice people, just not quite nice people I know), so you might not know former 5th grader Katherine, which is a total shame, because she's like one of the coolest people ever, but she has proven herself to be a tireless, hardworking, and dedicated staff member, one who we, as environmental activists can count on to continue our mission through the Chadbourne 2016-2017 year.
As we're making plans for our future as a company, you can help yourself, and the world, by making plans for your future as an eco-friendly person. We encourage you to think about some of the things you can do this summer, and beyond to help with the global crisis that is climate change, and feel free to comment these below to inspire other human beings to take a stand in our planet's fate. Since not everyone has the supercool ability to think of ideas to do in a split second, we have some pointers to get you started.
1. Join the Chadbourne EcoClub! For any of you guys going into 4th, 5th, or even 3rd grade, you can help the EcoClub, because they have a really inspiring message for everyone who wants to help the world. Enclosed is the link to their website: Chadbourne EcoClub. I'm not sure if Hopkins has an EcoClub, but there are still ways for Chadbourne alumna/alumni to help out, like the stuff below.
2. Be eco-friendly and save money at the same time! Here are some tips to be eco-friendlier at home, school, and basically everywhere else. [http://greatist.com/happiness/eco-friendly-tips-save-cash]
3. Lastly, make sure you reduce, reuse, and recycle as much as possible! Now I know that this one's kind of obvious, but I'm putting it in because reducing, reusing, and recycling really does make a difference.
Well, that's it for now! Soupdles, and I hope to see you later!
